Cinema Europa is a cult theater in Zagreb. It was built in 1924/25. the rich Zagreb family Müller according to the design of the architect Srecko Florshütz with the desire to make the most beautiful, most important and most modern cinema in this region.

The City of Zagreb bought him in October 2007 after the successful action of the Zagreb Film Festival and the Croatian Film Association "Give Me Cinema". The Croatian film and culture public and all the fans of the film appealed to the city authorities to buy this hall and leave it to use for film purposes.

At the beginning of 2008 the management of cinema Europe was entrusted to the Zagreb Film Festival with the intention of making the cinema a regional center for film and film art.

In 2013, the Ministry of Culture issued a Resolution according to which Cinema Europa is protected cultural heritage and national treasures of the Republic of Croatia. The interior of China is considered one of the most beautiful city spaces with its rich stucco decorations and postsecesian classical details.

In the cinema there are:

• Large hall with 500 seats
• Müller Hall with 30-80 seats
• Kino Shop - a souvenir shop where books, DVDs, gifts, souvenirs, toys, jewelry and similar products can be purchased mainly related to film and film art
• Two lobbies where exhibitions, performances, music events, lessons and conferences can be held
• Cinema bar - a place for social gatherings before and after the program
• Zagreb Film Festival Office premises

Program   Since the management of Europe's cinema in January 2008, the Zagreb Film Festival has become the leading regional displaying institution of independent contemporary film and home to almost all Zagreb festivals and events. In the regular program, all 365 days of the year, we present about forty independent contemporary films from all over the world and all categories - full-length, shorts, animated, documentary, experimental, children's films and other movies. His home in Warsaw 3 has found as many as 17 Croatian film festivals and events, we also hold about 30 filmmasters of all genres each year, and we pay special attention to children and quality films intended for pre-school and elementary school age.

In addition to film programs, theaters and theaters of theaters also host numerous lectures, round tables, discussions, book and film promotions, performances, exhibitions, music and similar events.

Our goal is to make Europe cinema a center of relevant world cinematography in Zagreb and Croatia, which will educate the public and get acquainted with recent filmmaking and culture around the world. In this way, our desire is to become an example and a model, but above all an important partner for Croatian cinemas throughout Croatia with the same program goals.
