A fun fact about Chile: you can experience both summer and winter in the same day! During the southern winter, you can try out some of the best ski slopes in South America in the massive Andean mountains. Do it early in the morning and then hit the road: it’s only a two-hour road journey from the mountains to the ocean, where you can enjoy a delicious seafood dinner on the coast, with the breeze and atmosphere or warm summer nights!

Also, 50% of the Chilean fleet is to be found in the Biobio ports and waters, shaping more than 30% of the Chilean fishing economy. The many rivers that run through this region also play an important role in providing the country with hydro-electrical power and energy. A part of the world that breaths dynamism in all its cities and towns, this Chilean region is defined by many locals and tourists as an area that is ‘strongly anchored to its roots while always looking at the future’.
