Teatro Univates

The Univates Theater is, along with the Library, part of the Univates Cultural Center. With approximately 10 thousand m² of construction, the architectural complex houses the new library of the Institution, with space for 300 thousand books, theater with 1,176 seats, special rooms and leisure area.

In the Theater, the modern structure allows the realization of all kinds of spectacle. The scenic, lighting and sounding projects of the place were prepared by a company responsible for the production of the most renowned theaters in the country. In addition, the space has individual and collective dressing rooms, coxias, barracks, warp, maneuvering balconies, technical lighting walkways and dry dock - a structure present in few theaters in Brazil.

Among the highlights is the structure of the stage, with a scene mouth of 17 meters wide and 8 meters high. The project can be compared to large theaters in Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil, being prepared to receive musical and dance performances. The work also has a cinema screen to display films and to hold congresses or conventions. All Univates graduation ceremonies are held on site.

More than 100,000 people have passed through the Univates Theater in their 3 years of activities.
