It is located on the banks of the highway CE-060, between the municipalities of Redenção and Acarape. Sítio Livramento houses the aforementioned museum, canavial, as well as the production unit of the Douradinha brandy. This site was built in 1873 by the Muniz Rodrigues family, who still owns this and creates the museum.
The historical milestone of this ingenuity was the grant, on March 25, 1883, of manumission to all black captives, five years before the Golden Law was decreed by Princess Isabel.
The museum, created in 2003, is composed of large house, senzala, canavial, sugar mill and a small shop (Mercado da Sinhá). This colonial architectural ensemble is original and in good condition.
