The Octavio Vecchi Forestry Museum was conceived in the late 1920s by the then Director of the Forest Service. Combining science, history and art, the museum is a space for contemplation and environmental education. Despite the difficulty of transforming the vision of a society established for years, it is believed that education plays a fundamental role in respecting every form of life. Located in the Alberto Löfgren State Park (Horto Florestal), in the North Zone of São Paulo. The building, inaugurated in 1931, was designed specifically to receive the collection, which is composed of a diverse display of wood and seeds, pieces of schools of xylography, charão (Japanese lacquer), carpentry, marquetry, watercolors, author of Helios Seelinger that illustrates the history of São Paulo, mural painting of native species by Antonio Paim Vieira, stained glass, and other works.
