The term "Cateretê" refers to a rural dance, better known in Goiás as "catira". In order to value regionalism, folklore, culture and local gastronomy, Cateretê Restaurante Bar was founded in 1996 with the purpose of serving the best and most select cuts of beef, artisanal grilled on the plate, in the form of steaks, with a special tempered that was always the trademark of the house. Over time, new modalities of meat (fish, chicken, lamb, pork, sausages, other tooth) were added to Cateretê's menu, providing a delicious variety of products that helped to consolidate the restaurant as one of the most traditional and award winning State of Goiás, having received, in particular, numerous prizes from the Eating and Drinking Guide (Veja Magazine).
