Leave a message to a loved one and let them know you care or say hi to another passing traveller using this quirky sculpture

When walking around Antwerp, you’ll probably spot the quirky sculptures of people around the dock. They’re by Belgian artist Daisy Boman. Nearby the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS), you’ll see five sculptures climbing up a warehouse. These are the Antwerp Whisperers.

But the sculptures don’t just look cool. Basically you can make a message for someone to hear at one of the sculptures on the dock. The idea is that the Antwerp Whisperers hear the message at the top of the warehouse and whisper it down to the others. Cute, right?

Only the person with the code can hear your message. It’s a special something just for them!

  • You can leave a message by using the app De Fluisteraar. Then the person you pick receives a code. Then go to the sculpture where they can enter the code and hear your message
  • Everyone that walks by can hear a general message from the whisperers. It’s not personalised, but if you’re walking by we recommend you push the button! It changes every month too
