Once a bathhouse, now totally dedicated to the arts. The City Mirror reflects on art & culture in the heart of Liege.
The City Mirror is an art gallery and cultural centre in Liege. There’s two permanent exhibits to check out here, plus they host temporary exhibits for more art goodies. The art is displayed in the former swimming pools, making The City Mirror a super unique artsy space. There’s also an auditorium for conferences and movie screenings.
Never Again!: reflect on Belgium’s dark history. City Mirror’s permanent exhibit takes you through the journeys of deportees going to Nazi camps. The voice of renowned French actor Pierre Arditi guides you along the exhibit. Everything from the rise of Nazism, to concentration camps, to what the future holds is covered. The exhibit will take you about 75 mins to explore.
With the kids: bringing the family along? The Never Again! Exhibit is suitable for children aged 11+ years old. Get the free educational packs (French only) to add in all the history deets they need.
The struggle is real: Struggles - Stories of Emancipation is the second permanent exhibit of the City Mirror. See the history and art of riots, protests, unions, and the workers movement in Belgium. Available in French & Dutch.
Temporary exhibits galore: the City Mirror always has plenty of temp exhibits for art lovers to check out. They’ve had exhibits on everything from optical illusions, hypnotism, to solo stage plays.
