Bring friends of the family for a day out in the sun by the lake shores. Or spend the night and camp out by the lake!

A day visit to Silver Lake is free in October to March. In other months you will have to get a ticket online.

Things to do:

Go out to the beach and dip your toes into the lake. In the summer, you can pre book activities like kite surfing through their activity desk. You’ll have to prebook by 2 weeks at least otherwise it might not be available. Or bring the kids along to the library for chill reading time.

• Feeling sporty? Rent one of the sports fields for 1€ an hour at the campsite reception. Volleyball, tennis and basketball are all available. There’s jogging tracks, outdoor fitness equipment, and a skatepark too.
• Cycle away: Rent bikes from the reception and try out the cycling trails around the campsite.
• Family friendly: The beach is a good option for a family day out. Bring the kids to the playground, try out go-karting, and play on the water slides. Ready to wind down for the day? Bring the kids along to the library for chill reading time as you relax on the terrace.

Camping Options

Planning a camping trip? Silver Lake is one of the best campsites in Antwerp. Grab your partner and cocoon up for the night or go with friends to camp out near the woods. You can even camp on a raft on the lake. You’re spoiled for camping options!

• Camping out: perfect for a night with the squad or family! There’s 26 places to pitch your tent in the 4-star campsite. Arrive at 14:00 and leave before 01:00.
• Cozy lodge: want more comfort sleeping outdoors? Take your pick of the 5 Hiking Huts. Each hut has 4 beds. Arrive from 16:00 and leave before 11:00. They’re called hiking huts for a reason! Good for couples, solo or for a small hiking group.
• Camping on the lake: ready for an adventure? Venture out into the pine forest to find your camping site floating on the lake. Unavailable in 2021.
