**What do religion, art and culture all have in common? Come see beautiful religious themed art in Park Abbey. **
Uncover religious artwork by contemporaries and masters of old in this less well-known museum just outside the centre of Leuven. This isn’t a super busy museum where you have to wade through a crowd of tourists to see the best displays up close. Parcum has been recently restored! It’s name refers to its location in the historic Park Abbey.
Parcum is a museum where you can explore and learn about religious heritage. You don’t have to be religious to admire the artwork it has inspired, after all. Belgium has a deep Christian heritage and most artwork displayed centres around that in creative ways. You’ll explore the exhibit, enter into the abbey attic, and see the church. You can easily spend 1-2 hours seeing the whole museum.
Permanent exhibit: a small but interesting exhibit aptly named ‘This is not a collection’! Featuring religious artwork of everything from beautiful angel inspired wings to church sketches, it’s a unique exhibit and pretty interesting if you’re into art.
