Beginner or hiking expert, there’s a hike for you at the Natural Park of the Two Ourthes. No, really. There’s so many hikes here we’re not sure where to start! From easy-going hikes of 5km to super long 100km+ hiking trails, you’re spoilt for choice. Take your pick and map out your route before heading out.

Most travellers come here for the hikes, but mountain biking is also possible here. One of the main highlights is Le Herou, a 1400m rocky track.

Hikes for All

There's so many hikes to choose from! Take your pick and browse all the trails (with maps!) here but we've got two you can't miss.

  • Challenge Yourself: explore the rocky cliffs of Le Herou on a daredevil hike! Ropes and chains along the river tell you where to go and often work to help you along difficult paths - it gets rocky in more ways than one. With all the climbing, you get great views of the river. Follow the red diamond signs. The most well known hiking trail here is Escapardenne - Eilseck trail at 104km long. Split into 5 sections, this hiking trail starts in La Rocheen-Ardenne and ends in the Duchy of Luxembourg.

  • Beginner Friendly: take a 6km trek around the national park to explore just part of its 76,000 hectares. A peaceful, family friendly walk through peat bogs, woods, and more. Follow the blue signs to start your exploration. Or check out the 5km hike around Le Herou, also super beginner friendly and has awesome views of the valley.
