Squeeze your way down one of the narrowest streets in Bruges to reach a hidden pub. Try out local beer, their house special Tripel, and meet the locals.

Squeeze your way through this alleyway in the middle of the two main squares, which is known for its bar De Garre. Maybe don’t pre drink if you want to actually find the bar. Slap bang in the tourist heart of Bruges, the De Garre bar is a hidden gem in the sense that even when you know where it is you might still miss it.

To find the bar, go to the Belfry of Bruges then to Breildelstraat. There’s a small archway in between two shops that leads to the cobbled alleyway. Very easily missed if you’re not looking for it! Tourists and locals meet at the very end of the narrow street to grab a beer and chat. The bar itself is well-liked for its chill atmosphere and house special Tripel De Garre (11.5%)
