**Did you know? Some of the most famous comic strips in the world like TinTin and The Smurfs were invented right here in Belgium! **

The Museum of Original Figurines (also called the MOOF museum) is home to 3,500 comic strip figurines. Since 2012, under the guidance of figurine collector Eric Pierre, the MOOF museum has been a magical place that proudly presents the works of the ninth art. Ninth art is artwork that combines the drawings of characters with text (like comic strips!).

Belgium is home to many original comic strips, which you will find in this museum. Keep an eye out for these characters:

  • TinTin
  • The Smurfs
  • Lucky Luke
  • Asterix and Obelix
  • Gaston
  • Marsupilami

Eric Pierre adds a new set of figurines to his collection every 6 months, making every trip you take to this museum feel like a whole new experience. He also regularly creates temporary exhibitions for his guests, so no two trips will ever be the same. Take some friends, take your kids, or simply take an afternoon break and go check out the artwork inspired by some of the most famous comic strip artists in the world.
