A big green lung in the city centre of Jette near Brussels. Perfect for walkers and cyclists or a family picnic.

This big park is about 270 acres. If you’ve got an hour to spend, you can take a relaxing stroll through King Baudouin Park. Want to see nature just outside of Brussels? The park is on the Green Walk close to Laerbeek and the Dielghem forest. A favourite for local joggers, dog walkers, and more, the park has plenty of space for all.

Kid friendly: find the kid’s playground on Rue E. Toussaint. Suitable for children aged 3-12, there’s a variety of things to do including sandboxes, slides, spring toys and a climbing area. There are benches for parents and guardians near the play area. You can also find the public loos here and a pond that has lots of ducks.

  • The park lies at the base of the Molenbeek Valley at the 7th part of the iconic Green Walk of Brussels - a 63km loop of the best nature Brussels has to offer. You can often find trekkers and cyclists finishing or starting their route in the park’s café.
  • King Baudouin Park has a couple of picturesque areas, especially the little bridges across the river. There’s also a wide grassy area in the park by the big pond that’s a common picnic area and hangout spot for locals in the summer.
  • History: The park is one of the few remaining natural landscapes of Brabant in the Brussels-Capital region - there’s plenty of trees, ponds and more to enjoy. The park was made in the 1970s to protect its natural beauty. We also can’t talk about the park’s history without mentioning that the park is named after King Baudouin of Belgium, who was involved in the colonisation of what is now Congo.
