Gustav Klimt was a famous artist from Austria. Known for his beautiful golden artworks and paintings of women, including the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I and The Kiss. Even if you don’t know his name, you’ve seen his art at least once before.
He held a super interesting life. He attended art school while living in poverty, became an interior decorator, and became the breadwinner of his family after his father’s death. It was in the early 1900s that Klimt started making big money after using gold leaf to make art. His artworks from this time are super iconic, but we’re sure art lovers will enjoy the whole exhibit to see how he got there.
