**A temporary and immersive art exhibit on the iconic artist Gustav Klimt. Put on a VR headset to discover his life and story. **

Open until March 6th 2022! Brussels is known for its cultural experiences. Grab a VR headset and immerse yourself in the world of Gustav Klimt. Based in the Galerie Horta in Brussels, Expo Klimt is a digital art experience. Lasting 35 minutes, there’s over 200 art works to see in the gallery. A fresh experience for all art lovers travelling in Brussels.

Gustav Klimt was a famous artist from Austria. Known for his beautiful golden artworks and paintings of women, including the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I and The Kiss. Even if you don’t know his name, you’ve seen his art at least once before.

He held a super interesting life. He attended art school while living in poverty, became an interior decorator, and became the breadwinner of his family after his father’s death. It was in the early 1900s that Klimt started making big money after using gold leaf to make art. His artworks from this time are super iconic, but we’re sure art lovers will enjoy the whole exhibit to see how he got there.

  • The art exhibit itself has hundreds of paintings to see. But that’s not all. Beautifully lit and displayed, the rooms of the exhibit are practically art themselves. Art is projected onto the walls. Info panels are 3D. Listen to the audio guide for the most immersive experience.
  • VR Experience: not included in the standard ticket, the VR experience adds an extra 10 minutes onto your gallery visit for an extra 2€. The virtual reality takes you through the life of Gustav Klimt in his career as an interior decorator to his great success and ‘golden phase’.
  • The team behind Expo Klimt also did Expo Monet and Expo Van Gogh.
