Domein Bovy

Take a stroll through the lush forest and around the lake for an outdoor escape.

Domein Bovy is a family-friendly park that's great for a day getaway for all ages that is located in Bolderberg, Heusden-Zolder. There are 7 walking paths ranging from 1 to almost 12 km; all of which take you on a tour around the lake and the longer ones have you walking in the middle of the lush and vivid greenery of the forest.

The 7 paths are detailed on a map at the entrance of the park and can be chosen according to difficulty and age:

• Purple (Toddler path): 1.1km
• Martin the kingfisher/Martin de Ijsvogel (children's scavenger hunt path): 1.6km
• Green route: 2.6km
• Yellow route: 4.5km
• Blue route: 5.3km
• Orange route: 8.8km
• Red route: 11.8km

The shorter walks are mostly surrounding the water and kid-friendly, while the longer ones take you through large parts of the forest (but no worries, you'll still have gorgeous views of the lake along the way).

Super family friendly

Besides the shorter walks above, this park is super family friendly and boasts several additional activities for the kids:

• A petting zoo
• A scavenger hunt led by "Martin the Kingfisher" that takes you through the trees and around the lake with all kinds of activities for the kids to do throughout the 1.6 km path.
• A playground

And important for all ages! A nearby café to rest your feet and grab a bit or drink - Bistro Bovy.
