Get lost in nature, explore exquisite gardens and swim in the lake at the idyllic Bambois in Namur.
Wild nature meets perfectly landscaped gardens with animals, plants and panoramic views across the lake at this ideal summer oasis. Get your water fix while admiring the diverse environments you’ll find along the way!
Gardens galore
You’ll feel like you fell down the rabbit hole as you discover the 12 themed gardens showing off rich and varied nature. Grouped into 3 different areas; the Discovery Gardens, the Gardens of Poetry and the Gardens of Knowledge, you may wonder if you’ve taken a wrong turn into a flower show as you meander your way down paths, across bridges and through beautiful plant life.
Get wild
Explore the stark contrast to the gardens on the biotopes trail, with much wilder environments such as woods, ponds and marsh which feel like a completely different world compared to the beautifully trimmed hedge you just brushed past.
You’ll also find observatories dotted around the site for you to try and spot the local wildlife. You can expect to see coots and grey herons on the lake and, if you’re lucky, maybe even an osprey. If you’re keen to see what’s in the lake, head to the aquarium and learn about all the fish found in the water at Bambois.
Beach vibes
Once you’re all garden-ed out, head to the lakeside and make yourself comfortable on the (you guessed it) pristine lawns by the water.
