**Once a church, it’s now a gorgeous classical concert hall and civic centre for music lovers to enjoy. **
Antwerp offers all sorts of arts and culture, but AMUZ is a unique place to enjoy classical music in a former church. Just imagine those acoustics! There’s always new musicians visiting, so you’re sure to find something you’ll like.
- The church is over 300 years old and was once home to Augustine monks. You’ll be seated inside the church with Jan Fabre’s artwork on display. It’s a concert hall for your eyes and your ears.
- Fabre’s green tableaus give a fantastical splash of colour to the church. It’s made from thousands of shields from jewel beetles.
- You’ll have to go on their ‘Concerts’ section to see what’s on at the moment. They feature vocal ensembles, classical piano, and ‘Wolf’ - concerts inspired by Mozart with live drawings!
- AMUZ is right in the centre of town so there’s plenty of options after the show. Get dinner nearby (just make sure to reserve ahead of time in the weekend, restaurants are pretty booked in Antwerp)
- Get more culture injected into your veins at the Arenberg Theatre or check out Rubens House for a good dose of the arts.
