Austria, along with neighboring Switzerland, is the winter sports center of Europe. Salzburg Old Town with its world famous baroque architecture, is one of the best-preserved city centers in the German-speaking world and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The nature is also really beautiful around the area. Krimml, Europe's Highest Waterfalls, the water of the Ache river falls in 3 cascades. You can reach the top of the falls on a wide and well maintained path. You can also have a walk in the National Park Hohe Tauern, the biggest national park in Austria and one of the biggest in Europe.
