Jermuk

Located in West Asia on the Armenian Highlands, it is bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran to the south. The terrain is mostly mountainous, with fast flowing rivers, and few forests. The land rises to 4,090 metres above sea level at Mount Aragats. The climate in Armenia is markedly highland continental. Summers are dry and sunny, lasting from June to mid-September. Evening breezes blowing down the mountains provide a welcome refreshing and cooling effect. Springs are short, while autumns are long. Autumns are known for their vibrant and colourful foliage. Winters are quite cold with plenty of snow. Winter sports enthusiasts enjoy skiing down the hills of Tsakhkadzor, located thirty minutes outside Yerevan.

Armenia

The capital of the province is Yeghegnadzor. If you are into history, you should probably stop by the various ancient landmarks of the region, such as the Areni-1 cave complex and Areni-1 winery of the Chalcolithic period, the 8th-century Tanahat Monastery, the 10th-century Smbataberd fortress or the 13th-century Noravank monastery. Jermuk is also a main touristic attraction with many sanatoriums, spa resorts and its ropeway.

Vayots Dzor

Jermuk is also known for its waterfall that has a height of  84 m. It's much liked destination for travelers.
