The Salesian Regional Museum (MRS) was founded in June 1941 on the initiative of Fr. Antonio Fernández, who with the collaboration of Maestro Morell and his students compiled the initial exhibition, organized didactically by related themes. Its origin marks the didactic character and an accentuated pedagogical work throughout the years. As the first Museum of Chubut, it gathers one of the most significant patrimonies of the region. The Work of Don Bosco in the year of the Bicentenary of its Founder has begun the process of reopening, with the aim of sharing this heritage that is a witness to the history of the Patagonian region and the exciting cultural framework that has taken place in the region. On September 5, the opening of the Museum's first room was completed in what used to be the old Good Shepherd Hospital. The Museum is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Fridays from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. For group visits request turn by private message Facebook or email [email protected]
