
In the former headquarters of the Rural Association of Tierra del Fuego works the Municipal Museum "Virginia Choquintel" from June 1, 1999. Visitors will find a Museum of Natural Sciences and History that will bring them closer to the roots, customs and landscapes of Tierra del Fuego.
The Virginia Choquintel Museum is a museum located in Rio Grande, province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands. It belongs to the municipality of the city. It is named after a descendant of the Selk'nam ethnic group
It contains information on the history of the city, industries, economy, communications, elements and documents of contemporary history, as well as sectors dedicated to local culture and fauna and flora.
