Museo La Para

The Historical Municipal Museum "La Para" assumes as its mission the integral protection of the cultural heritage in general and historical in particular of La Para and rural area.

We believe that culture is a key element for the development of peoples, and therefore we are committed to creating and sustaining an institution committed to the social reality of the locality and with solidarity towards other sister entities.

Our vision is broad and supportive, looking at the world from the temporal depth given by history and the analytical complexity that anthropology gives us, with a complex and critical analysis of reality.

We are convinced that only in this way will we achieve our objectives: forum for building citizenship and discussing our identity, promoting development, raising citizen's self-esteem, increasing the visibility of the people and promoting rooting.

The motto we have chosen summarizes our philosophy: "we need roots and wings, but wings that take root and roots that fly" (Manuel Vásquez Medel).
